Poet Veerankutty announced the DC Balasahithya Award for the best novel. The award was granted to Suresh Kumar V. for his exceptional work, "Subedar Chandranath Roy." Author M Mukundan handed over a cash prize of fifty thousand rupees along with a memento. `Read and Review award` was also presented during the event. St Peter`s Senior Secondary School, Kolanchery and P E S Vidhyalaya, Payyannur received the award. Ravi Dee Cee and Sree Kumar also participated in the event.
