Kerala Urgently Requires a Comprehensive Master Plan for Advanced Development in 2050, Says Traveller Santhosh George Kulangara. In a discussion with Lijeesh Kumar, renowned traveller Santhosh George Kulangara emphasized the need for Kerala to adopt a master plan focusing on tourism, education and health to ensure advanced development by 2050. He highlighted Kerala`s wealth of resources, asserting that with wise utilization of the same, the state could become a global leader. He stressed the importance of wise governance and public participation. He noted that Keralites possess essential skills, that is why foreign countries provide enough opportunities; however, the government lacks the efficiency to utilize them effectively. He criticised that the government doesn`t have a marketing system that could ensure appropriate utility in a way so as to enrich our state. Santhosh expressed concern about the challenge of maintaining tradition amidst the shifting dynamics between politics and religion. He called for a balanced approach to safeguard Kerala`s cultural heritage. Emphasizing Kozhikode`s rich history, he highlighted the city for its centuries-old cultural heritage. The discussion also touched upon tourism development, with Kulangara suggesting the use of technology to facilitate tourism in Lakshadweep without harming the environment.
