"A teacher is someone who motivates the students to search for answers." V. K. Suresh Babu. A highly engaging session was held at the Kerala Literature Festival based on the book `Oru Vattam Koodi `. Dr. K. M. Shareef moderated the discussion. V. K. Suresh Babu and Radhika C. Nair discussed their childhood educational experiences and family relationships concerning the topic. They elaborated on the emerging changes in the field of education today and how much today`s education and teaching foster the creativity of children. V. K. Suresh Babu added that school and education were the source of his happiness in a life full of poverty and sorrow. The guests also discussed the extent to which the current socio-cultural scenario can connect the contemporary educational system with the traditional one. The discussion proceeded to the connection between the new generation and high-tech education. Radhika C. Nair spoke about the factors that compelled her to publish this book. She talked about the changes that have come to poems and stories today and what changes should be made to them. She further added that parents and teachers do not fully understand today`s children; there is a need to meet common ground by bridging the gaps. They concluded the session by saying that the teacher should be the one who motivates the students to search for answers.
